Description
It is an orchid of small to medium size, with habit of epiphyte and sometimes lithophyte and a short and oval rhizome, laterally compressed, rough pseudobulbs wrapped at the base by several leaf-sprouting pods with a single apical, elliptical leaf that is conduplicated in the basal petiole. . It flowers in autumn and winter in a basal racemose inflorescence, erect to arched, 45 cm long, that arises from the axils of the lateral leaves on a mature pseudobulb with many flowers, widely open.
