Description
Oncidium luridum is a species of epiphytic orchid of the Oncidium genus also called "dancing lady". They are found in Florida and Cuba , also in Central America and in northern South America as far as Peru . The Oncidium luridum is an epiphytic plant, with small or almost zero pseudobulbs. Oblong, thick, and coriaceous leaf , which can measure up to more than 5 dm long. Its flowers are arranged in a sturdy peduncle that can reach up to 2 m long, with a size of about 3 cm, brown with some yellow and white spots. Its fruit in capsule. This species is native to southern Florida and to Cuba , Central America , southeastern Venezuela and Peru . This orchid grows on trees. Hot humid climate zone of land at sea level up to 1400 masl with strong light and blooming in the dry season months of the forest.
