Description
It presents a short rhizome and very small pseudobulbs that extend almost imperceptibly in a cylindrical, fleshy, short and erect leaf . The inflorescence is apical and short, and includes some small, open flowers. The flowers are generally yellowish-green, with a purple-stained lip. The petals and sepals are similar, the lip is lobed with jagged edges, and has claws that cling to the sides of the column. This is brief and has six polynes of unequal sizes, four large and two small. 2 Plants are related to generaLoefgrenianthus , Pseudolaelia and Schomburgkia.It belongs to the group of Leptotes with short leaves and flowers and more rounded and more open, but smaller. It can be recognized as the only species with sepals and petals of yellowish or greenish color, as well as a strong purple mark in the center of the lip.
