Gomesa macronyx (Gomesa macronyx)
Description
The Oncidium macronyx is an epiphytic orchid with laterally flattened cylindrical pseudobulbs from which apically two coriaceous oblong linguladas leaves emerge, at its center two floral vases of numerous tiny flowers emerge. It has a paniculated floral stem. This orchid is confused with Oncidium longicornu Mutel, from which it differs in the shape of its lip and in the callosity of the labelo. Flowers with greenish sepals, orange brown spots and yellow labyrinth with reddish spots.
