Evotella rubiginosa (Evotella rubiginosa)
Description
The plants have delicate roots with small ovoid tubers, from which arise stems with few leaves, very small, smooth and linear. The inflorescence is terminal, with about eight to ten small resupined flowers, barely open, white and brown. The lip is broad and triangular. The column contains two polynyas. They live in colonies of twenty to thirty plants, whose flowering occurs in the spring, encouraged by occasional fires. The flowers secrete oil, collected by the rediviva bees, of the Melittidae family, with this activity they pollinate the flowers by carrying the pollen on the legs.
