Description
It is a medium-sized orchid , with an epiphytic habit and with erect ramicaules , which are wrapped at the base by 2-3 loose pods, tubular and bearing a single leaf, apical, erect, thinly leathery, carinate, slightly folded, acute elliptical, narrowing little by little below in the conduplicated base, indistinct and petiolate. It blooms in winter and spring in a horizontal inflorescence purple, slender, to descending, 10 to 20 cm long, bracteasa, with successively few flowers that emerge from the lower part in the ramicaule with a tubular floral bract.
