Description
Disperis discifera is a species of terrestrial orchid that exists in Madagascar and Reunion Island . They are root plantsendowed with smallpubescent ovoid tubers , from which stems are bornwith very small soft leaves along their length. The inflorescence is terminal withresupined flowers . The dorsal sepal is arranged close to the petals forming an erect and concave set. The liphas a claw at the base and is welded at the foot of the small column, which contains two polynes . The flowers secrete oil, collected by rediviva bees , from the Melittidae family , which pollinate the flowers by carrying the pollinia on their legs.
