Description
Fuchsia magdalenae is a species ofthe evening primrose family (Onagraceae). Fuchsia magdalenae is characterized by a climbing growth. The shrubs reach a stature height between 2 and 5 meters. Similar to the Fuchsia excorticata, which is widespread in New Zealand , the bark also peels off the trunk and branches in Fuchsia magdalenae . The mostly three, rarely four whorled arranged on the branches leaves have a length of 8.5 inches and a width between 4 and 6 inches. The flowers are individually or in pairs in the leaf axils. Her tube of flowering is 42 to 60 millimeters long. The sepals are short. The chromosome number is 2n = 44.
