Description
Syringa pinnatifolia, commonly known as pinnate lilac, is a compact shrub with purple-tinged white flowers. Syringa pinnatifolia was described by William Botting Hemsley. The name is considered as validly published. Syringa pinnatifolia is a species in the genus Syringa which contains approximately 30 to 43 species and belongs to the family of the Oleaceae (Olive Family). Syringa pinnatifolia is deciduous. The green, imparipinnate leaves are opposite. The ovate leaflets are entire and petiolate. Syringa pinnatifolia produces panicles of white salverform flowers from May to June. The shrubs produce loculicidal capsules.
