Description

Kunzea ciliata is a flowering plant in the myrtle family,Myrtaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.The spreading shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 3.5 metres (1 to 11 ft).It blooms between October and November producing pink flowers.Often found on or among granite slopes and gneiss outcrops in coastal areas of the South West of Western Australia between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin where it grows in loamy sand soils.The species was first formally described by Helmut Toelken in 1996 in the article A revision of the genus Kunzea (Myrtaceae) in the Journal of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
