Description

Hypocalymma puniceum, commonly known as the large myrtle, is a member of the Myrtaceae family endemic to Western Australia. The spreading shrub typically grows to a height of 0.15 to 1.0 metre (0.5 to 3.3 ft). It blooms between December and April producing pink-red flowers. It is found in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia where it grows in gravelly sandy tor loam soils
