Darwinia sanguinea is a plant in the myrtle family Myrtaceae and is endemic to Western Australia.The low sprawling and prostrate shrub typically grows to a height of 0.0 to 0. metres (0. to 0. ft).It blooms between August and December producing red-purple flowers.Often found on hills and sandplains between Coorow,Carnamah and Dandaragan in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia where it grows in sandy soils over laterite
