Description
Dysoxylum fraserianum (rosewood or Australian rose mahogany) is a large tree native to New South Wales and Queensland, Australia Mature trees can grow up to 57 metres (200 ft) in height, with a trunk up to 3.5 metres (11 ft) in diameter. It has 6.5–25 centimetres (3–10 in) long paripinnate dark-green leaves with 4–12 leaflets. Dysoxylum fraserianum is one of the most common trees in subtropical rainforests of Australia. It is a typical long-lived, slow-growing and shade-tolerant climax species. It has been extensively logged for its fragrant red timber
