Chisocheton longistipitatus is a tall tree species that can grow up to 40 meters tall. It has a straight trunk and a pyramidal crown. The bark is gray and smooth when young, but becomes rough and fissured with age. The leaves are alternate, simple, and ovate in shape, with a glossy, dark green upper surface and a pale green lower surface. The flowers are small and yellowish-white, and are borne in clusters at the tips of the branches. The fruit is a woody capsule that splits open to release numerous winged seeds.
