Description
An exciting shrub with smooth, light coloured bark, growing to about 5 metres.it is of bushy habit with the lower branches touching the ground. Numerous flowers varying in colour from almost white to bright lilac, form spikes up to 30cm long. The winged seeds form within a capsule.This shrub makes and outstanding garden specimen and will respond to layering. Flowers appear during early summer and extend over several weeks. The very popular Pride of India (Largerstoemia Indica) is of the same genus.
