Rauhuia (Linum monogynum)
Description
Linum monogynum (common names rauhuia, native linen, New Zealand linen flax) is a short-lived perennial or woody subshrub endemic to North Island, South Island, Stewart Island, and the Chatham Islands of New Zealand. It grows up to 16 inches (40 cm) high, with spear-shaped, leathery-gray to green leaves that are 0.2–1 inches (5–25 mm) long, and white flowers up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter.
