Description
Linum capitatum is a plant of the genus Lein ( Linum ). Linum capitatum is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches a stature height of up to 40 centimeters and grows from a rhizome . The stem is angular, all leaves are dreinervig, the ground-level leaves are oblong-spatulate and are in a rosette, the upper leaves are lanceolate and tapered, occasionally dull. Stipules are present in the form of a gland pair on the leaf approach. The erect inflorescences are umbels of five to ten flowers on short flower stalks. The oblong-lanceolate sepals are deeply serrate and hairy, the oblong-lanceolate petals are golden yellow and about three times as long as the calyx, the scar linear to oblong-round. The capsule fruit is ovate to roundish and pointed at the end.
