Lilium lophophorum reaches a height of 10 cm to 45 cm.The bulbs are small,roundish and reach a diameter of between 1.5 cm and 3.5 cm,they are loosely covered with white lancet-shaped scales.The stem is hard and straight.The leaves are variable,narrow to broadly lanceolate,between 5 cm and 12 cm long and between 0.3 and 2 cm wide.They are freely distributed over the stems,but often form tufts.The leaf margin is papillous
