Lily (Lilium leichtlinii)
Description
Lilium leichtlinii reaches a stature height of 50 cm to 200 cm. Around the dark upright stems , the narrow and lanceolate leaves are freely distributed around the stem. The plant forms plenty of tubers from. The Japanese lily flowers from July to August with three to eight (rarely one or two) nodding flowers in a panicle . The six equally shaped bracts ( Tepalen ) are bent back as in the Türkenbund. The basic color of the flowers is yellow ( leichtlinii ) or orange-red (var. Maximowiczii ) with dark purple spots. The anthers are brown. The seeds ripen in seed pods and germinate immediately epigean.
