Butterwort (Pinguicula moctezumae)
Description
Pinguicula moctezumae is a carnivorous plant of the genus Pinguicula. Pinguicula moctezumae forms a leaf rosette. The perennial, herbaceous plant can form a winter rosette, but it rarely does, as it holds only a short or no hibernation, triggers the hibernation seems to be a slightly drier environment. The carnivorous "summer" leaves form a leaf rosette with up to 15 leaves. The lancet-shaped leaves grow up to 10 cm long and 1 cm wide. The dark pink-colored flower is about 30 to 35 mm in diameter and has a long typical flower spur section. The seeds are ripe in about a month and have an elongated shape. Due to the small size of 1 mm fit into the spherical (about 5 mm large) capsule fruit well over 100 seeds that are scattered after popping up the seed pod.
