Thymus bracteosus is a small shrub that produces long, deciduous, woody stems about 10 cm long, flower-bearing and hairy to fuzzy stems. The leaves are 10 to 17 mm long and 2 to 3 mm wide. They are elongated spatulate, dull, herbaceous, glabrous and ciliate in the lower half.The inflorescences are Kapitula The bracts are up to 13 mm long and 6 mm wide, ovate, long ciliate and often partially purple colored.
