Euphorbia graminea Jacq. , is a phanerogamous species belonging to the family of Euphorbiaceae . It is an annual plant , creeping , ascending or erect, hairy (with straight or wavy hairs of light green color, but especially in the tender portions, with a tendency to purple color) or with very few hairs. It reaches 10 to 50 cm (1 m) high. It has a thin stem , dichotomous. The leaves are alternate in the inferior part, opposite in the superior one, tiny stipules , petioles very thin of 0.3 to 3 cm in length, sheets of variable form, usually wide to closely ovate, but sometimes oblong to lanceolate, of 0.5 3 cm long by 0.3 to 2.5 cm wide, apexacute or obtuse, edge almost always whole, very rarely sawed, base cuneate to rounded, thin texture, light green sometimes paler on the underside.
