Description
It is an herbaceous species whose smooth stems reach 60 cm in height. The leaves 3-5 mm wide. The inflorescences with bracts shorter than the inflorescences or higher; spikes superimposed, erect or in proximal propagation, contiguous, with a short pendulum, oblong to short or elongate, 10-25 × 6-10 mm. Perigynium ascending, of gold color or of dark brown color with abruptly pointed apex. The fruit is an achene 2n = 54.
