Description
Sedum cepaea is a plantof the crassulaceae familyIt is an annual plant or, rarely, biennial or perennial, partly with glandular, greenish clothing Main root ± developed. Stem of 15-28 cm, erect or ascending, with glandular indument. Leaves of 15-20 x 4-6 mm, opposite or whorled, obovate, the lower ones usually petiolate, flat, glabrous. Inflorescence in elongated panicle Pentamer flowers; pedicels (1.5) 2.5-4.5 (5.5) mm. Sepals 1-1,5 mm, welded at the base forming a very short tube, with glandular tissue. Petals (2.5) 3-4 mm, free, ovate, awned, white or pink and with the darker middle nerve, with glandular indus- try. Stamens 10; purple anthers; staminal scale c. 0.5 mm, deeply emarginated. Follicles3-4 mm, erect, longitudinally striated; long styles. Seeds few, 0.5 mm; ribbed test; apex crowned. It has a number of chromosomes 2n = 22.
