Chandelier plant (Kalanchoe manginii)
Description
Kalanchoe manginii is a plant of the genus Kalanchoe in the family of Crassulaceae (Crassulaceae). Kalanchoe manginii is a creeping dwarf shrub and grows up to 40 centimeters high. The numerous, slender, lignified, low-lying shoots are tufted. The end of the shoots is erect. The non-flowering shoots are fluffy hairy and have glands, while flowering shoots are bald. The sitting, very succulent leaves are up 8 millimeters thick, bald hairy to tiny fluffy, green, obovate to oblong circular and 1 to 3 centimeters long and 0.6 to 1.5 centimeters wide. The tip of the leaf is very dull, narrowed at the base and not stalk umfassend. The leaf margin is entire or slightly scored in the upper part. The inflorescence is a loose, low-flowered panicle with breeding buds . The hanging flowers sit on 0.7 to 1 centimeter long pedicels . The green to green-reddish cup tube is 0.4 to 0.8 mm long and terminates in egg-shaped, the pointed corners, which is 6.5 to 9 mm long and 2.4 to 3.5 millimeters wide. The corolla is urn-shaped, red-orange to bright red. The 20 to 25 mm long corolla tube has ovoid tip with patch peaks of 3.5 to 4.5 millimeters in length and 4.5 to 5 millimeters in width. The stamensare attached near the base of the corolla tube and are all protruding from the corolla tube. The anthers are kidney-shaped and about 1.6 millimeters long. The linear Nektarschüppchen are 1.8 millimeters long and wide. The stylus is between 14 and 17 millimeters long.
