Hylotelephium sieboldii (Hylotelephium sieboldii)
Description
Hylotelephium sieboldii is an ornamental succulent plant of the family Crassulaceae native to Japan. It is cultivated in the gardens under the name of "Sainte-Th-r-se", due to the flowering period close to October 15, the day dedicated to St. Teresa of Avila . It resists freezing by losing its branches and passing the winter in the form of small buds at ground level. Its scientific name comes from the botanist Philip Franz von Siebold , who studied the flora of Japan.
