Night blooming cereus (Selenicereus grandiflorus grandiflorus)
Description
Selenicereus coniflorus grows mostly climbing with bright green shoots of which numerous aerial roots originate. Along the 5 to 6 ribs, the shoots are purpura-colored. The rib surfaces are sunken or flat, on the edge they are wavy to bumped. The areoles are covered with bristles and pale yellow, needle-like spines . The mandibles differ in a protruding central mandrel and 4 to 6 edge mandrels.
