Description
Rebutia heliosa grows sprouting with depressed spherical to short cylindrical bodies and forms small groups. The bodies reach a diameter of up to 2.5 centimeters and have beetroot roots. The up to 38 ribs are arranged spirally and divided into bumps. The extended areoles on it are brown. A middle spine is missing. The 24 to 26 marginal spines are white, with a mostly darker base and up to 1 millimeter long. They are arranged more or less like a comb, lie against the body or stand out slightly.The orange to yellowish orange to purple flowers appear on the lower half of the body, are 4.5 to 5.5 inches long and reach diameters of up to 4 centimeters. The fruits are spherical.
