Orange snowball (Rebutia fiebrigii)
Description
Rebutia fiebrigii grows individually and only occasionally in groups with spherical stem for short cylindrical, bright green. The stem can reach a size of up to 6 centimeters and has fibrous roots. The nearly 18 ribs are clearly divided into gaps. The areolas are elliptical and white. The approximately 30 to 50 spines are, more or less, white to light brown or, sometimes yellowish and are hardly distinguishable in central and radial spines. They are like bristles, some of which can be a little stronger, in diffusion, as sharp and up to 2 centimeters long. The flowers are yellow to orange and appear in the lower half of the stem and measure up to 3.5 centimeters in length. The small fruits are more or less purple.
