Olaga (Opuntia borinquensis)
Description
Opuntia borinquensis grows with only a few branches and forms groups with heights of up to 0.5 meters as well as diameters of up to 2 meters. The opaque, bald, elongated, upright, egg-shaped shoots are 5 to 8 centimeters long, up to 4 centimeters wide and up to 1.5 centimeters thick. The abundant leaf turbulence is pointed. The small areoles are 1 to 2 centimeters apart. The two to three to six centimeters long, brown thorns become whitish in age.Nothing is known about the flowers . The inverted egg-shaped fruits reach a length of up to 1.5 centimeters.
