Artichoke cactus (Obregonia denegrii)
Description
Obregonia and a genus of the Cactaceae family, whose unique species ye: Obregonia denegrii , popularly called Obregonita . Ye a rare species that resembles a cone of conifer invested with a center llanudu. It is a cactus of up to 12 cm in diameter, aspeutu globular and large root axonomorfa. Cuerpu composed by large tubercles of triangular shape from 5 to 15 mm of llargu, d'aspeutu similar to the one of fueyes and superimposed n'espiral. I do not have costielles. Nes plantes adultes, the tuber base is between 2 and 2.5 cm; the external face is curved and finished nun cantu agudu, since the inner one is flat. Above the apical tubercle is a small areolawith 2 to 4 tanned and weak scales, try to hide the outside, from 5 to 15 mm of llargu. The flowers measure about 3 cm in diameter, are white or rosáu and are born from the areolas of the newer tubers, in the center of the plant.
