Pitahaya (Hylocereus ocamponis)
Description
Hylocereus ocamponis grows climbing with triangular, blue-green shoots and reaches lengths of up to 3 meters at diameters of 5 to 6 centimeters. The ribs are wavy at the edge with a horny, brown edge. From the areoles, which are 2 to 4 centimeters apart, 5 to 8 needle-shaped, yellowish thorns emerge, which grow to 1.5 centimeters long. The white flowers are 25 to 30 inches long and wide. The fruits are yellow or red.
