Description
Echinopsis tarijensis grows initially individually, later shrubby with few lateral branches and reaches stature heights of up to 5 meters. The strong, cylindrical, dark green shoots reach a diameter of up to 35 centimeters. There are 15 to 21 ribs available. The large, clear areoles on them are covered with gray felt and stand close together.
