Description
Echinopsis obrepanda is a botanical species of plants in the family of the Cactaceae . Echinopsis obrepanda grows generally solitary and with age from time to time constitutes small groups. The stems are depressed spherical, dark gray or green with buds that reach up to 20 centimeters in diameter. It has 13 to 18 strong ribs available, which are divided into humps. The gray areolas are in the notches and are about 2 cm away, from which spines emerge a little curved, white and brown. The three central spines, which sometimes may be missing, are bent at the tip and are 2 to 5 cm long. Most of the 6 to 13 radial spines are up to 1 cm long. The funnel-shaped flowers are fragrant white with magenta-red and open at night. They measure 10 to 20 cm long. The fruits are spherical and semi-dry.
