Description
Discocactus tentneri grows individually, with dull green, spherical to flattened globular bodies reaching heights of growth of up to 7 centimeters and a diameter of up to 10 centimeters. The 12 to 20 ribs are slightly humped and up to 10 millimeters high. The areoles are slightly sunk into the ribs. The strong, white to yellowish thornsare darker at the top and become light brown to whitish. They are bent downwards and interwoven so tightly that they cover the plant body. A middle spine is missing. The approximately 11 comb-shaped arranged thorns are up to 4.2 inches long. The in cream to white wool and yellow to brownish, up to 2 centimeters long bristles formed Cephalium is high to 1 centimeter and reached a diameter of 3.5 centimeters. The slender funnel-shaped flowers are up to 9 inches long. The club-shaped fruits are red and have a length of up to 2.5 centimeters
