Espina (Cumulopuntia boliviana)
Description
Bolivian cumulopuntia is a species of phanerogam belonging to the family Cactaceae . Bolivian cumulopuntia often forms dense groups. The stems are green, egg-shaped, 3.5 to 7 cm long and slightly tuberculated on the head. The humps are clearly limited at first, but later only weakly discernible. It has approximately 15 areolas located near the peaks. The upper part of them have thorns 3 to 10 cm long. The yellow flowers can reach lengths of up to 4 cm. The almost spherical fruits, of green color to yellow, are fleshy and from time to time they have some bristles.
