Description
Cereus albicaulis is a species in the genus Cereus of the cactus family(Cactaceae). Thespecific epithet albicaulis means 'white, light-yellow'. Cereus albicaulis grows shrubby, with sparsely branched, initially erect, later overhanging and spreading to climbing shoots The elongated, bluish white, four-edged shoots have diameters of 1 to 3 centimeters. There are four sharp-edged, only slightly wavy ribs available. The small areoles on it are brown. The two to six dissimilar, needle-like thorns are brown, swollen at their base and up to 2 inches long. The flowers are white, the oblong, somewhat angular fruits greyish purple.
