Description
Alyssum alpestre is a species of herbaceous plantbelonging to the Brasiliaceae family. It is endemic to the central Alps , the Pyrenees and in Andalusia in Spain . It is a perennial plant that reaches 5-10 cm in height, from green to white tomentose, disufo habit, branched from the base with quite numerous sterile rosettes . Cauline leaves 6-8 x 2-3 mm, oblong-oblong, spatulate, rounded at the apex , attenuated at the base, sometimes, with the limbus contracted on short petiole . Floral stems prostrate-ascending, flexuous. Clusters terminal or some lateral. Petals 3 x 1'2 mm yellow. Erect fruiting pedicels . n = 8.
