Recent studies of molecular phylogeny have shown that the genus Glandora is brother of Buglossoides , Aegonychon , Lithospermum , Macromeria and Onosmodium . On the contrary, Lithodora is related to the genresParamoltkia Greuter, Mairetis IM Johnst., Halacsya D�rfl. and Neatostema . The 6 species that contain this genus, have distilia or stylar dimorphism
