Description
The Neosepicaea are a plant genus that belongs to the family of the Trumpetenbaumgewächse (Bignoniaceae). The four associated species are native to Australasia . Neosepicaea species are lianas , branches are hairless to finely hairy. The leaves are opposite, are long petiolate and divided into three to five leaves. The inflorescences are composed of many flowers , terminal or axillary thyrs , in which bracts are formed. The five-part cup is cup-shaped to bell-shaped. The crown is brown, red or orange to pink colored, short bell-shaped and often curved. The four stamens do not stand over the crown, the dust bags are hairless, their counters strive apart. In addition to the stamens, a staminate is formed. The ovary is elongated, covered with fine scales, and contains a plurality of per ovary compartment ovules, The ovary stands on a cup-shaped flower soil . The fruits are stalked, with shed-filled capsules , which are elongated-linear shaped and have a drehrunden cross-section. The flaps of the capsules are hairless. The calyx may be resistant to the fruit or may fall off before. The seeds are rectangular and have a thin wing.
