Begonia cebadillensis is a plant species of the Begoniaceae family . This begonia is native to Central America . This species is part of the Knesebeckia section . It was described in 1946 by Lyman Bradford Smith (1904-1997) and Bernice Giduz Schubert (1913-2000), following the work of Arthur Duvernoix Houghton (1870-1938). The specific epithet cebadillensis means "Cebadilla" in reference to La Cebadilla in El Salvador , locality harvesting types by S. Calderón in 1922
