East himalayan balsam (Impatiens arguta)
Description
Impatiens arguta is a plant of the family of Balsaminacee widespread in China, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Myanmar. Like all the congeners, the seeds are contained in a case that explodes when ripe. The I. witty stands out from other Impatiens for the unusual blue color of its flowers.
