Kenya hyacinth (Sansevieria parva)
Description
Sansevieria parva is a species of the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet parva derives from the Latin word parvus and means 'small, slight, insignificant, slight'. Sansevieria parva grows stemless or short stem forming as a perennial, succulent plant with about 0.85 centimeters thick, brownish orange rhizomes , which are partially beschuppt. The usually covered by leaf bases stem is up to 12.5 inches high. The 6 to 14 succulent, rosettig arranged leaves are initially ascending, later spread and linear to lanceolate shaped.
