Bow string hemp (Sansevieria hyacinthoides)
Description
Sansevieria hyacinthoides�grows stemless with a vigorously formed�rhizome�.�The two to eight�succulent�leaves�are upright.�The simple�leaf blade�is lanceolate to broad linear with a length of 15 to 60 centimeters and a width of 2.5 to 9 centimeters.�They are narrowed from the middle or below in a tricky stalk and dull green with numerous close to each other transverse bands, which fade in old age.�The usually white, withered tip of the spear is tapered or bluntly rounded at a length of up to 17 millimeters.�The margin is brownish-red and the leaf surface is smooth.
