Agave gentryi (Agave gentryi)
Description
Gentryi Agave is a plant from the genus of the Agave ( agave ). An English trivial name is "Gentry's Agave". Agave gentryi grows solitary or with sparse foothills of a diameter of 60 to 100 cm. The green to bluish, broad at the base, stiff, concave, tapered leaves are 60 to 100 cm long and 17 to 26 cm wide. The leaf margins are horny and irregular serrated. The strong, dark brown to gray Enddorn is 4 to 6.5 cm long. The paniculate, elliptical inflorescence is 3 to 5 m high and is densely covered with fleshy bracts. The numerous yellow flowers are 60 to 70 mm long, appear at the upper part of the inflorescence and form up to the top of the loosely and variably arranged branches. The funnel-shaped flower tube is 11 to 16 mm long. The elongated, dark brown, dreikammerigen capsule fruits are 60 to 75 mm long and 20 to 25 mm wide. The black, shiny seeds are 7 to 8 mm long and up to 6 mm wide. The flowering period is from May to July.
