Description
The Ariri palm ( Syagrus flexuosa ) is a species of the family of Arecaceae .Palm tree with multiple trunks, sometimes slightly arched and flexible, with remains of the base of the leaves, 3 to 5 m high and 5-8 cm in diameter. Cup with 8 to 15 pinnate leaves; linear pinnae , rigid in number from 40 to 80 on each side, fixed to the rachis in groups of 2 to 5. Inflorescences protected by a peduncular, woody bract . Ellipsoid fruits, apiculados of sweet and fibrous pulp, with 3 0 4 cm of length of yellowish color when they mature.
