Bow palm (Ptychococcus paradoxus)
Description
Ptychococcus paradoxus is a widespread palm that occurs throughout the lowlands of New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago and the Solomon Islands, primarily from 0-850 m (Zona 2005), but some records from higher elevations (up to 1600 m) are known. Its distribution may be altered by humans (Zona 2005).
