Licuala bintulensis (Licuala bintulensis)
Description
A very pretty and rare, low growing palm from the understorey of rainforests in Sarawak on the island of Borneo. It has fan-shaped leaves with about nine most curiously arranged segments, the inner ones being very wide, the outer ones narrow. Essentially a collector's palm, it will do best in a shady, wind-protected spot in the tropical or warm subtropical garden.
