Description
Geonoma triglochin is a single-stemmed, evergreen palm growing 1.5 - 4 metres tall. The unbranched stem can be 4 - 5cm in diameter; it is topped by 10 - 25 leaves up to 2 metres long and spread umbrella-like.The plant is commonly harvested from the wild for its leaves, which are used as thatch.
