Description
They are palms with solitary stems , erect or decumbent from time to time, reaching a size of 1.5 m in height, often without stem. The leaves: 50-10, erect, green, the pod 8-10 cm long, tubular, green, petiole 2-15 cm long, flat and green above, rounded and pale below; rachis 11-22 cm of yellowish color, leaf 15 to 30 x 15 cm, incised apically, oblanceolate or oblong-elliptic, acute lobes, only superficially and darkly dentate towards the apex, 9-12 nerves on each side of the spine . Inflorescences: interfoliar but often infrafoliar. The globose fruit, bluish black.
